You become eligible for Medicare in several ways.

You turn 65 and have met the Social Security and Medicare requirements. |

You are under 65 and have end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. |
